Countdown to The District Music Festival

St. Albans City School and BFA have had many of our former students go into both music education and performance college programs. Adam Sawyer and Chris Comstock, who graduated from the City School, are both teaching elementary and middle school band programs in Essex Jct, and Sheldon. Adam has conducted several Middle School Band festivals, since starting his teaching career. We have professional musicians teaching high school in Massachusetts, Robert Raymond, and performing in both professional and local amateur bands and chorus's in New England. Both Nichole and Michelle Rawding (Ms. Rawding's daughters) are performing singers and flutists, in Maine and New Hampshire. The computer composition music curriculum that has been taught by Arlene Jarvis and Cathy Gottschalk, has produced several high school and college musicians, who are having their music perfomed by BFA and their college ensembles. Ms. Jarvis' students from SACS, have won several of the Vermont Midi Project composition awards.
