Announcements 5-8-12

Spotlight on Team Triumph

On May 2nd, Triumph went on a virtual field trip. We began our newest thematic unit, electricity, with an introduction and some experiments. Students learned about basic circuits, conductors, and energy sources. It was a fun and engaging lesson.

Savor the flavor of seasonal vegetables! Buy vegetables that are in season for maximum flavor at a lower cost. Check your local supermarket specials for the best-in-season buys. Or visit your local farmer’s market.

St. Albans City School presents WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN!

St. Albans City School would like to welcome all incoming Kindergarteners (children who will be 5 before September 1st, 2012) and their parents to the 2012-2013 school year.  You are invited to visit us in the Kindergarten on Wednesday, May 9th from 6 pm to 7 pm.   Registration material for Kindergarten screenings will be available.  Your child’s social security numbers, immunization records and birth certificate are required.  For more information, call Helene Biggie at 527-0565 @ ext. 1101.


 Well the results of our week Vermont week long Sumdog contest is in!!! Our school came in second overall! We won the Busy bees challenge becoming the school with the highest average questions answered correctly per student (counting top 15 students in school only). 489 students from St. Albans City School have answered 344,251 questions correctly between them.
Eight of the top 10 overall places were held by our students and here they are:
