News from The Travelers
The Travelers have been studying the human body. On Thursday Ms. White's 1st graders and Ms. Bushey's 2nd graders made "brain hats" and did some research on the brain. If you see a 1st or 2nd grade Traveler be sure to ask them what they know about the human body and the brain!
Band
Mr. Mehaffey is out for today, so this afternoons Jr. Band, Orchestra and all lessons are off for today.
SACS School Song
Next week is Spirit Week at SACS and we asked each 7/8 Learning Community to nominate a SACS School Song that we can all sing together at the Pep Rally next Friday. You will have a chance to see the three videos and hear the songs in the cafeteria today and then vote on your favorite with your PLU sticker at lunch. The winning song will be announced next week!
A REMINDER TO 8th GRADERS
The deadline for Yearbook Cover Art Submissions is Friday, February 15th.
Please give entries to Ms. Maguire.
Requirements: 8.5"x11" paper size, portrait orientation, must say St. Albans City School, must say Class of 2013 or 2012-2013, may be hand-drawn or computer designed in any color(s).
Voting will take place next week during lunch.
Athletics
The 7/8 Boys and Girls Basketball teams have away games in Westford starting at 4:00.
AAU tryouts for the Rail City Blazers Girls team this Saturday and Sunday 5/6 Girls is from 1 to 2:30 and 7/8 is from 2:30 to 4:00 at the BFA gym in St Albans.
