Announcements 10-8-13

NECAPS

Today is the first day of NECAPS. All students will be tested in grades 3-8. On Tuesday 10/15 grades 5 & 8 ONLY will take the writing test. Please make sure you get plenty of rest and have a good breakfast each day. All students receive free breakfast at SACS and the cafeteria is open at 7:30.


Here is the NECAP Schedule:

Open Doors


The following Open Doors classes begin today Tuesday, October 8th:
Archery
  • Session B students taking Archery will board bus #2 at 3:10.  Archery students will check in with Open Doors at bus #2before boarding the bus.
Raiders Knitting
  • Session B students taking Raiders Knitting will board bus #6 at 3:10.  Knitting students will check in with Open Doors at bus #6 before boarding the bus.
Lego Challenge- held at City School
Sprouts- held at City School. 
All session A students taking Open Doors classes go to the cafeteria at 2:45 dismissal.
It is very important that all students riding the buses afterschool follow the bus expectations. 

News from The Energy Committee

The Whole School Energy Committee wants to let everyone know due to new technology and computer batteries, the computer carts do not need to be unplugged on weekends.

Hannaford Helps Schools!

You can earn money for City School just by buying your groceries!  Only until December 1st, you can earn $3 "School Dollars" for every 4 "Hannaford Helps Schools" participating products you purchase in the same shopping trip.  You will receive a special School Dollars receipt at the register, which you can then place in the St. Albans City School slot in the collection tower found at the front of the store.  (This works at ANY Hannaford, so if you don't shop at the St. Albans store or forget to put your School Dollars in the collection tower, bring the receipts to us and Dynamic Design will submit them for our school!)
