History Heroics at Taylor Park!

Last Friday the entire 6th grade made the trip up to Taylor Park where David Ryder's AP History students hosted the first ever St. Albans History Olympics. Everyone participated in a series of mental and physical challenges that showed us what life was like in St. Albans in the 1800's. Students washed laundry, raced as part of a fire brigade, hauled hay, shoveled coal, and learned about everything from typewriters to the importance of the railroads here! It was an incredible trip to the past and we brought home the gold medals to prove it!

The word this week are:

Clarify: You explain it in a way that makes it easier to understand
Mrs. Lamb will clarify the steps for doing laundry before you begin your load.
Elaborate:  You tell more about it.
Mr. Mehaffey will elaborate on the details of the Washington, DC trip before we leave.
