Announcements 11-10-14

Final Harvest

Many thanks to all the learning communities and individuals who helped harvest the last of the garden produce.  The gardens this year were bountiful with produce. Students have worked very hard to manage these gardens from spring through fall. Congratulations to all of you on your stewardship gardening projects.

Veterans Day

All SACS Students and staff will be walking to Taylor Park to watch the Veterans Day Parade and participate in the celebration of Veterans Day on Tuesday November 11th. Please make sure your student is dressed warm and wearing shoes appropriate for walking. We are proud and excited to be able to show our appreciation for Veterans as an entire school again this year!

Jr. Band lessons are today and tomorrow. Please do not be late.

Beginning violin is this afternoon, and beginning cello is tomorrow.

Jazz Band will be meeting on Tuesday and Friday afternoon this week. Sr. Band will be staying with their teams on Tuesday.

Tutoring/Open Doors/After School Activities Bus

Parents:  Our after school programs and bus drivers are asking for your help to get your children home safely.  It is now dark when the bus is trying to deliver your children from after school programs.  It would be a great help if you could remember to turn on your front porch lights so the bus driver can better find your houses and your children will feel more safe getting to your front door.

Thank you for your help!

Drama

Drama Days are Tuesday and Wednesday of this week,  3:15-4:45 in Miss Gelfon's room.

If you are an A student, you must go to the cafeteria until the bell rings.

B students should also go to the cafeteria and eat snack before coming down to Miss Gelfon's room.

If you are interested in participating in this year's musical, you must attend the drama days!

Operation Happiness is Starting!

Team Renaissance will be collecting non-perishable foods for Operation Happiness Food Drive. All communities will be provided with a collecting box beginning November 7th until December 3rd. We will collect the items from your Learning Community around 11:00  every morning. Last year we collected 3,333 items and our goal was 2,013 items. The food that we will be collecting will be going to families in need.  Our goal this year is 3,334 items.
