Grades 1-3 "Fun Night" Today
Time: 3:00 to 5:00 pm
Locations:  Cafeteria, Large Gym, Small Gym and Library
Cost: $3.00


Town Forest Trail Cleanup
On Saturday November 14th (tomorrow) at 10:00 AM there will be a trail cleanup at the St. Albans Town Forest.  This forest is a special piece of public land well worth visiting and taking care of.

Please join Rise VTFranklin County Mountain Bike Club and theTown of St. Albans to help clean up and maintain existing trails in The Town Forest! Come and check out the newest trail that was built over the summer by theVermont Youth Conservation Corps. Also, view the latest trail plan, developed by Sinuosity: Flowing Trails, which will accommodate birders, mountain bikers, skiers, snowshoers, hikers and school groups. 

Some tools will be provided, but if you have a chain saw, axe or rake, please bring it along. Mostly, we need bodies!

There will be coffee, tea, snacks and swag!





Cheerleading Opportunity for children ages 4 through 4th Grade
St. Albans Youth Cheer (Note: this program is independent of St. Albans City School)
Sign ups are are Saturday Nov. 14th 12-1 pm

Cost is $60 (this includes an 8 week program, USE of a uniform and a Competition)

Fifth Graders can ski for free this winter. 
To encourage our youth get to the hills and connect with winter in the mountains, Vermont ski resorts offer participating fifth graders a passport for free days of skiing and riding at various alpine and nordic resorts.

Thanksgiving Meal with your Family at SACS
Date: Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015

Very few family members have purchased meal tickets thus far.  If people want to avoid waiting in line to purchase a ticket on our school Thanksgiving day, then you should purchase a ticket now.  Those with tickets can move directly into the serving line.

Advance tickets are necessary.
Adults $3.50 in advance. $3.75 day of
Siblings $1.75 in Advance $2.00 day of
SACS students are free and no ticket is required.
Purchase tickets in the cafeteria from the Abbey.  On the day of the Thanksgiving meal tickets will be sold in the lobby.



Note to Parents: Vermont Substance Abuse Guest Speaker in P.E. Classes
On Tuesday November 17 and Thursday November 19, 2015 your child will have a guest speaker during his/her physical education classes.  The speaker will be Mary Pickener, a Vermont Substance Abuse Prevention counselor.  Mary works closely with many agencies in the county as well as local schools.

Please look for a letter coming home today with your child. This letter can also be found on the web page of the learning community he/she is assigned to.
