Valentine's Day Cookies Baked for Seniors
Mrs. Walsh's kindergarten students made Valentine's day cookies for seniors on Monday 2-8-2016.  Three students from the classroom delivered them to the Holiday House retirement center on Tuesday 2-9-2016.  It was a worthwhile connection and experience for the children and the seniors they met.

Team Triumph's Ski Trip to Jay Peak

On Monday 2-8-2016, Triumph students, parents and teachers put on their winter gear and headed off to Jay Peak. The weather and snow conditions were better than expected and everyone had a good time. Here are a few photos from the trip. Congratulations to all the students who improved their skiing skills on Monday.

Safety Drills

Each month our school has some kind of a safety drill, with fire drills being the most commonly practiced emergency procedure.  We have learned how to exit the building rapidly and in silence while insuring that all students are accounted for.  Then we are quickly back in the warm school building.  With these kind of procedures in mind, it is important that every student come prepared with clothing appropriate for Vermont weather conditions for emergencies or for outside recess.

Visit from an Accomplished Former St. Albans City School Student

Michael Lamb, son of Family and Consumer Science teacher Mrs. Lamb's, and former SACS student, has been by our school several times in recent days.  In one of those visits (2-9-2016) he spoke to Team USA students about his work with the Air Combat Command.

School Store
Three Voyagers students restock and organize the school store.  The store is open during some lunch periods and is a great learning tool for Voyager's students to practice basic math and business skills.
