Rainbow Science in Kindergarten
On Thursday 3-17-2016 some of Ms. Scott's students explored the topics of light and color with flashlights, prisms, cds and cardboard tubes. Others made rainbow art by using clear nail polish, water and black paper pieces. A different group explored merging colors as a way to understand how different colors of light can be made up of combination of light waves. Everyone rotated among the different learning stations. It was a busy class. All this year's kindergarteners have experienced this specific learning.

Ugli Fruit is our snack for the day
Ugli fruit is a hybrid variety of grapefruit, an orange and a tangerine. The taste is like a cross between a lemon and tangerine. It is a large sweet juicy fruit with greenish-yellow thick wrinkled skin, about the size of a grapefruit. It is cultivated primarily in Florida where it grows into a bushy tree of 15-20ft. It always looks evergreen. Fruits do produce seeds and the trees are sometimes grown from seeds.
Ugli is an excellent source of Vitamins C and B. It fights heart disease and protects against kidney stone formation.
