Announcements 4-26-2016

TUESDAY


After school programming
Open Doors

Drama -Full cast until 5:15 PM

Open Doors Session 5 begins May 9th and acceptance letters went out April 25th.








Band

Tonight, the Jr. Band will be presenting our Spring Concert at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria.

Jr. Band lessons will be going over the solo's for tonight. Could Liam, Caleb, and Pilot please come to the trumpet lesson at 9:30 AM. After Jr. band rehearsal this afternoon, we will go over the saxes and clarinet's solos. Today's normal lesson times are most definitely on for Jr. Band.







Fitness Team Practice
Fitness Team will practice on Tuesday and Thursday this week from 3:15-4:40
If you plan on riding the 4:40 bus please sign up by 12:00








Baseball
Boys 7/8 Baseball - Practice TuesdayWednesday, and Thursday from 3:30-5:00 on the baseball field.








Outside Recess
A little damp and cold, but outside movement should still be worthwhile. The sunny weather will return tomorrow.








Yearbook
Attention all 8th graders,  the yearbook committee (Mrs. Nadeau or Mrs. Perrault) need all forms, baby pictures and money by Thursday, April 28th at the end of the day.

BFA's second annual Tech and Engineering Day competition Results
Students in 7th and 8th grade participated in BFA's second annual Tech and Engineering Day competition.  Students competed against two other schools in many different events that involved electrical circuits, design, problem solving and team work. Our St. Albans City School students did a great job and had some top three finishes.  Each placing team received a medal for their hard work.

Autism Month
Today you are going to watch a video to see what it is like for a person with autism everyday.  This 2 minute, 30 second video is a cartoon explaining what it is like to have autism.


Don’t forget to wear blue tomorrow, for Wear it Wednesday!

We have plums for snacks today
Insects, such as honeybees are main pollinators of plum flowers.

Plum is a deciduous tree (shedding its leaves annually). that belongs to the family of roses (Rosacea). There are more than 200 varieties of plums that are derived from two basic types: European and Japanese (originating in China) plum.
