Band
Jr. Band will be having our last full rehearsal today at 12:15, to get ready for tomorrow's Mongo Concert, which will feature the Chorus, Jr. Band, Jazz Band and Sr. Band.

Mr. Mehaffey will be finding some 6th graders today for their pre New York City lessons.

Outside Recess
Warm and breezy with more clouds than yesterday. It is a good day to get outside when you can.

Pictures from the Stewardship Walking Wednesday
We had a really good turnout. At least 395 students walked or biked into school (56% or our student population). Over a hundred adults did the same. So, we can say that roughly 500 people were involved in our Massive Walking Wednesday. The most people we have ever had participate previously on a Walking Wednesday was 269 in 2014.

We did count the number of cars driving to school (91) and dropping off students (95). Additionally we estimate that one hundred and eighty students came by bus. Nevertheless, we can celebrate the fact that we doubled our normal good-weather Walking Wednesday turnout. Maybe a few of you who walked/biked for the first time will try it again?

Thank you to all the students, parents and staff who participated and helped make this event happen.

Stewardship Assembly
We gathered together to hear about, and celebrate, our many stewardship initiatives. Every community has thriving projects and every community gave a brief presentation. It was wonderful hearing how the projects are doing. In addition we learned about many recent award winners in our school.

Localvore Abbey Meal -A Big Success
Students, staff and volunteers enjoyed a very tasty meal featuring barbecued chicken, salad, potatoes and frozen yogurt dessert. What a perfect day to eat outside.
