Announcements 10-12-2016

WEDNESDAY

Today is a Walking Wednesday.  Please come out and join one of the seven walking groups coming into school. The weather will be cool and breezy, nice October weather. Health specialists recommend that we get 60 minutes of walking, or exercise equivalent to walking, each day. Being a part of a Walking Wednesday group can help you reach that goal.

UVM Drone Crew Photographed School Land and Buildings on 10-11-2016
SACS will happily receive 160 high quality images that were taken by the UVM drone flying 300-400 feet above the ground.  The goal is to have a UVM computer stitch those pictures together into a large map of school property for use by our stewardship program.

Snacks for today are Grapes
Yesterday our grape snacks were replaced with bananas. Sorry about that.

Even thought this information about bananas is a day late, here is something interesting to know about them. Many people like banana chips. How are they made?

Banana chips are deep-fried or dried slices of bananas. They can be covered with sugar or honey and have a sweet taste, or they can be fried in oil and spices and have a salty or spicy taste.  Most banana chip we eat in trail mixes are fried and sweetened.

BREAKFAST MENU
