            USA: Our Fish Hatch!
Since the arrival of 100 brook trout eggs on January 5, Team USA has been patiently waiting for the hatching of some eggs. Today was the day! We now have 4 small fry (alevins). Students have been busy testing the water for the appropriate ph, ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite levels. There has not been much activity, but as we get towards the end of February we should see all the eggs hatched.

Anyone wanting to check out the Trout in the Classroom project, feel free to contact Team USA. Trout In The Classroom site

Thank you to the St. Albans Rotary for sponsoring our project. Their generous donation helped secure the tank and supplies. We look forward to working with them on this project.
