BAND Full Jr. Band with 6th grade sr. band students, will be rehearsing today after lunch. Jazz Band is rehearsing this afternoon. There will be no Sr. Band or Jazz Band on Friday. Beginning clarinets from A and B times will be having their lesson on Friday morning at 8:30. That is just for tomorrow. Band lessons for 6th grade sr. band students will not be happening this morning. Beginning lessons are still on for trumpets and drums.

RECESS WEATHER The snow and ice outside is wet because of the warm temperatures. It is still possible to use the snow tubes outside.  Dress in waterproof clothes and boots.  The tubes are in the opened shed.  If your team plans to use them then the snow tubes must be lifted over the sidewalk to the snow covered areas.  We do not want the bottoms of the snow tubes scratched.  Thank you.

IMPORTANT DATES Everyone: FCSU District Art Show Tuesday January 24 - Sunday 29th. Location will be the Collins-Perley Complex between 6:00 am-9:00 pm.  Art Show Reception Rescheduled for Thursday, January 26 from 4:30-6:30 pm. Students and Staff: Whole School Assembly.  Hip Hop, African Dance and Broadway with Karen Amirault.  Thursday January 26th.  Location - Large Gym.  9:30-10:15. Everyone: February Walking Wednesday February 1st.  This is the only official walk scheduled for February.  Please come out and join us. 8th Grade Parents: Parents Advisory Group Meeting Update on 8th grade events. EVENTS KAREN AMIRAULT DANCE COMPANY Hip Hop, African Dance and Broadway will be demonstrated at a whole school assembly January 26th and offered to 3rd and 4th grade students and some 7/8 students (February 6th, 8th, 13th and 15th) at St. Albans City School.  On Unified Arts night dances will be presented and open to participation. HEALTH FAIR AT SACS - Free Saturday February 4th 9:00 AM to Noon at St. Albans City School

PICTURES AND REPORTS Box Tops Big Collectors Winter Contest Congratulations to the Voyagers for submitting the most Box Tops in the first week of our winter collection contest! They will proudly display the Box Tops Big Collectors Banner in their hall this week. Remember, our school-wide goal is 2,500 Box Tops by February vacation. Can you help us?? The Money Makers will visit ALL communities on Thursday afternoon, so please have your Box Tops ready. There's still lots of time to clip and collect, and your community could be the Big Collectors, too! Hand Print Flag In the tradition of supporting our troops, SACS has displayed a student-created flag near the front office that will be hung up for the duration of The Green Mountain Boys deployment. We invite students, staff and community members to bring in photos of those who are deployed to hang with our flag. As part of our Wishing Well, pictures will be displayed below the flag so that we can wish those well who are defending our freedom. If you would like to bring in a picture, please put it in the red, white and blue box at the front office desk. Please put name of person in picture AND the name of the person we should return the picture to if you would like it returned (name and community would be helpful). We will begin displaying pictures on Monday, January 30. We will continue to add more pictures as they come in.
