RECESS WEATHER

Care will be needed when using the snow tubes today.  Sledding will be fast.  Avoid running into each other. Try to walk up the sides of the hill to get to the top.

Please keep the snow tubes and the snow shoes off of the sidewalks.

TRAIN SAFETY

Crossing railroad lines is something that should be done with extreme caution. Please do not cross if the lights are flashing red or a train is stopped on the line (unless specifically directed by a railroad employee). Sometimes trains are stopped and blocking traffic for long periods of time. No matter how tempting, do not crawl between the rail cars. Thank you.

Snow and Bus Safety

We need to remind ourselves to follow all bus expectations so that drivers can pay full attention to driving their bus.  The roads have been slippery and high snowbanks make it difficult for drivers to see.  Please wait at your stops and make sure that you are on the sidewalk.  Do not play in the snow banks as you can fall into the road and be hit by a vehicle that might not see you.

At the end of the day make sure that you wear your snow boots as they will help prevent you from falling.  When you are dropped off at your house or daycare please make sure that you leave the bus and immediately walk onto the sidewalk.  If you are crossing the street always wait for the bus driver’s signal.   Our collective goal is to keep students and adults safe.  Let’s all work together to make sure that we are all safe.

St. Patrick's Day

Kindergarten students discovered that leprechauns had visited their classrooms before they arrived playing various pranks and leaving some messes behind. In this classroom bathroom there was green liquid in the toilets... leprechaun p....?
