REPORTS AND PICTURES
WALKING CONTEST RESULTS
This past week there was amazing participation in the walking contest. Many teams put in serious miles!!!
Each lap is a tiny fraction over 1/2 mile. Using this measurement it was possible to calculate that the THE VOYAGERS walked more than 341 miles (682 laps), or roughly 6 miles per person. They are the current champions. Team USA, never a strong walking contest competitor in the past, completed an impressive 283 miles (565 laps) to finish a strong second. Other learning communities are going to have to step up their game or be left behind.
VOYAGERS - Leaders for Week 2 and overall contest leaders
As for the Pre-K through 3rd Grade learning communities, the Explorers are the week's outstanding performers with 232 miles (466 laps = approximately 4 miles per person). Nice work.
EXPLORERS - outstanding Pre-K through 3rd Grade team for week two.
