CLARIFICATION ON THE WALKING CONTESTS

We are relying on personal honesty.

HOW TO EARN WALKING PATH CONTEST CREDIT FOR YOUR TEAM
  • Walk or run laps on the school walking path during during school days:  7:30 am to 5:00 pm supervised by adults associated with school.
  • Walking to school or home again does not count for this contest
  • Walking field trips off school property do not count although we applaud the exercise. :(

HOW TO EARN WALKING WEDNESDAY CREDIT FOR YOUR TEAM
  • Count only the walk into school on Wednesdays.
  • Walking home is not factored in.
  • Walking to and from school on other days besides Wednesdays is not counted for the either of the contests. Again, we applaud the exercise, just not for this contest because it is too hard to verify.

REPORTS AND PICTURES

GIRLS ON THE RUN (5-17-2017)
Girls on the run is a group that meets twice a week in the afternoon at St. Albans City School. It teaches life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. Running is used to inspire and motivate girls, encourage lifelong health and fitness, and build confidence through accomplishment.

At each season's conclusion, the girls and their running buddies complete a 5k running event which gives them a tangible sense of achievement as well as a framework for setting and achieving life goals.
