WALKING CONTEST OUTLINE

This year the walking contest began on Wednesday May 3rd and will continue through the remainder of May.

There are two ways to win...

  1. Community with the most laps completed on the walking path by the end of May.
  2. Community with the highest tally of students who walked into school on Walking Wednesdays throughout May.

The prize for each win will be a one hour pool party at the St. Albans Pool in mid June.

Walking Wednesday tallies will be maintained as usual on Walking Wednesdays with sign in sheets by community.

Walking path tally sheets will be placed in the alcove between USA and Renaissance starting on Wednesday May 3rd.

REPORTS AND PICTURES

Walking Wednesday Results
One hundred and eighteen people walked or biked into school on Wednesday. Temperatures were in the mid 40s and the sky was overcast. It was a nice morning to come to school by people power.

Quite a few learning communities had ten or more students who walked or biked to school. The Travelers had the highest participation rate with 14 students.  Many of them are pictured below.  Nice work!  Every person who walks or bikes on Wednesdays will help their community have a greater chance of winning one of the pool parties.
