REPORTS AND PICTURES
ADVENTURERS Mr. Lewis' students planted kale, lettuce and flowers with Mrs. Smith on Thursday Morning. They had already planted beans that have germinated in their classroom window. DREAMERS Mrs. Gleason's students are pictured here planting lettuce, kale and flowers just as Mr. Lewis' group did above. Other kindergarten and pre-k classrooms were visited by Mrs. Smith on Thursday -although not photographed. All these young students are learning about seeds, germination and the caring of plants. The plant growing experience is part of St. Albans City School's Pre-K/Kindergarten Farm to School program and curriculum. Blast from the Past Pictures EXPLORERS Mrs. Halverson's students took a brain break Thursday morning. Here are a few pictures of them dancing to music. EMBRYOLOGY in Pre-K/Kindergarten Pre-k and kindergarten students are learning about how fertilized chicken eggs can be incubated and hatched. They will get to care for the young chicks before the end of the school year. Mrs. Lawyer is shown placing some eggs in an incubator. Another incubator is full of eggs and completing its task in Mr. Lewis' classroom. A few pictures of students participating in P.E. in the little gym. 5-4-2017 |
