REPORTS AND PICTURES

PEEBLES DONATION (GRANT) TO SACS
Peebles, a department clothing store in St. Albans, collected money on behalf of St. Albans City School.  Last week they sent the school the generous sum of $241 dollars. Their donation letter can be viewed at THIS LINK. Our school will find a worthy project to put this donation towards.  THANK YOU Peebles.

DUCK RESCUE EXPERIMENT
Mrs. Lawyer and Joanne Brodeur (Mrs. Cox's mother) collected the male and female ducks that have made St. Albans City School their home in recent months. The goal of extracting the pair was to shift the nest of eggs and the parent ducks to a safer spot in the city away from traffic.  It is hoped that the mother will continue to sit on her relocated nest at Ms. Brodeur's home.  If she does not, due to the stress of the move, the eggs will be incubated for the remaining week and a half before they are expected to hatch. Sixteen viable eggs were counted and two that had been rejected and shoved away from the rest.

IMAGINATION
Team Imagination's Stewardship task is to introduce healthy new meals into our school diet.  In the following pictures you will see Mrs. Heather Smith working with Mrs. Meghan Smith's first grade class to try out a Vermont Maple Apple French Toast Bake recipe. The dish was fun for the students to put together and even better to taste. Every student and staff member in the class (100%) loved it.  So we will definitely be seeing it on the menu in school next year.
