REPORTS AND PICTURES
PARTICIPATION ON WALKING WEDNESDAY Three hundred and fifty four people (280 students and 74 adults) signed in at the front entrance on Stewardship Day. Bus ridership and personal car transport dropped significantly from a normal Walking Wednesday. It was a beautiful day to walk or bike to school and participation was strong. Thank you everyone for keeping our parking lot empty in the morning!
STEWARDSHIP WALKING WEDNESDAY
STEWARDSHIP DAY PRESENTATIONS IN THE LARGE GYM Here are a few pictures of the people up on the stage on Stewardship Day 6-7-2017
RENAISSANCE Renaissance students led several workshops for Stewardship Day. Classes in pre-k through 6th grade learned about composting and toured the new compost shed.
BIKE REPAIR WORKSHOP
Melanie Kessle, otherwise known as "Biking Melanie" from Local Motion, came to direct three bike repair sessions on Stewardship Day, 6-7-2017. The primary skills students learned revolved around fixing flat tires. There was a lot of interest and participation in the repair workshops. In future we will organize them a little differently so that we have more time to delve into a range of different kinds of repairs. |
