REPORTS AND PICTURES

USA-KINDERGARTEN CARNIVAL
Each year Team USA hosts a wonderful carnival for the kindergarten students. There are sponge tosses, egg carries, bubble blowing, face painting, obstacle courses, tag, shaving cream play, sidewalk chalking and more.  It is a good opportunity for the older students to do something fun and meaningful for other people. At the end of the carnival ice cream is served and enjoyed by the hosts and participants.  6-13-2017

INCREDIBLES
Last Friday, 6-9-2017, the Incredibles assembled a banquet of foods for everyone in their community to taste. There were desserts, main dishes and various drinks. Each student prepared an explanation of their food or drink item.  Different grades took turns serving and sharing.  Some lucky staff members from other areas of the building helped evaluate the offerings and helped taste the food.  Nice event Incredibles!

CAREER EXPLORATION WITH DAVID SCHOFIELD
During the 2016/2017 school year, former businessman and St. Albans City School bus driver, David Schofield took students around St. Albans to learn about various businesses.  The hope was that students would get a clearer idea of various job opportunities they may have in the future and would understand the educational steps needed to prepare to work in those careers.

Students visited: The Messenger, Peerless Clothing, Peoples Bank, Jeff’s Seafood, the Fire Department and other employers.  If you want to see what the students had to say about their experiences you can check out this 3-minute long video.
