    SUMMER PROGRAMMING REPORTS AND PICTURES

    TRIUMPH WORKED ON ROOM DESIGNS
Students in Triumph were asked to create a design for their ideal bedroom. Once they determined the room's dimensions and furniture, they researched the items on-line.  It was there that they learned about the dimensions of the furniture and its' costs. This was a great project to sharpen practical math skills and improve drawing and presentation skills. Students explained their plans to each other towards the end of the Summer School day.  Teachers Mrs. Dean and Mrs. Perrault. 8-9-2017

INCREDIBLES USED PAPER PLANES TO STIMULATE LEARNING
Students created paper aeroplanes. They then speculated on the how far they expected the planes to fly.  Measurements of actual flight distances were collected. On Thursday the students will see if their predictions matched reality.  Instructor Mrs. Coutts. 8-9-2017.

MRS. TRAINER AT THE FRONT DESK
Even though one might think that summer time is quiet at St. Albans City School, it is not. Mrs. Trainer is often seen at the front lobby desk handing out meals, accepting deliveries, connecting callers with teachers and processing mail - among many other tasks.  Mrs. Trainer has been at SACS for well over a decade and is very helpful at guiding all those who approach the front desk for assistance.

    VOYAGERS' PHOTOSYNTHESIS SONG
Students on the team have been studying how plants gather energy from the sun and how they grow.  This is a short video they made explaining photosynthesis.
