Please understand that adjustments in pick-up times will be made in the first few weeks of school to ensure that students arrive at school no earlier than 7:25 am. Walkers and bikers should plan to arrive at school at 7:25 am as well. The bus schedules for Pre-K and Kindergarten students will be posted once registration nears completion. September 7th is the first day of school for Pre-K and Kindergarteners. Thank you.

SOCCER AND CROSS COUNTRY RUNNING
Soccer and Cross Country (5th-8th grades) will begin soon! Some students signed up at the end of last school year, all other interested students need to see Mrs. Sawyer or Mr. Clark on August 30th to be added to the list. Parents can also sign up via email: asawyer@maplerun.org OR bclark@maplerun.org
7/8 Soccer (Boys and Girls) and 5/6 Girls Soccer will have their first practices on Thursday, August 31st. Times are listed below.
7/8 Boys: 3:15-4:45
7/8 Girls: 3:15-4:45
5/6 Girls: 5:00-6:30
Coaches will hand out schedules and player contracts at this time.
Cross Country has their first practice on Tuesday, September 5th from 3:15 - 4:30
There will be a Fall Athletic Meeting for parents of all fall athletes in the library on Tuesday, September 5th at 4:30. We will go over student athlete expectations and introduce our new Athletic Director, Brian Clark. Coaches will also attend and will end the meeting with their individual teams and address any parent questions. We are asking all fall athletes and their parents/guardians to please attend.
The Boys 5/6 Soccer team will have their first practice on Wednesday, September 6th 3:15-4:45.

FORMS AND INFORMATION PACKET
Folders containing documents that need to be filled in by St. Albans City School parents/families will be given to students on the first day of school (August 30th). If a family has more than one child at St. Albans City school, then only one child will receive the folder containing the paperwork for all the siblings. MEALS PAPERWORK
In your family information packet, there will be a form to apply for free and reduced meals. Even though our school receives funding for free meals for everyone, it is still important that we continue to show that our school qualifies for that resource. Your submitted application would be a big help to St. Albans City School and our entire school community. Thank you.

REPORTS AND PICTURES
A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE
Twenty two Students from St. Albans City School, St. Albans Town School and Fairfield School met the two days prior the start of school. These student’s goal is to help their schools promote diversity and improve intergroup relations. They also want to help fellow students address racism, bias, and bullying. It was a great workshop - enjoyed by all.
FLOWERS FRESHEN UP THE FRONT ENTRANCE
Mrs. Smith, our Farm-to-School Coordinator, and Mr. Pelkey, one of the facilities staff, brought healthy soil and some beautiful plants to the new front entrance steps planting boxes. The entrance looks much nicer now. Thank you both.
