SUMMER PROGRAMMING REPORTS AND PICTURES
DREAMERS KINDERCAMP
These pictures were taken by Mrs. Lawyer over Summer School Session 2. There are 108 total. This week the Dreamers read the story of the Rainbow fish and learned about friendship and sharing. They did games and circle up activities around that. Projects included creating their own rainbow fish, edible oceans snack and role playing using bubbles.
SOME DAMAGE TO OUR APPLE & PEAR HARVEST
Mrs. Morrie arrived Thursday morning to work on the garden/orchard and discovered some damage to our fall fruit tree harvest. Our school trees are young and not producing much yet. This will be our first real harvest of fruit in the four years since we planted the trees. Consequently, it is easy to get discouraged when unripened fruit is found picked, bruised and lying on the ground around the small orchard. Please remind everyone that we would love for the remaining fruit to stay on the trees for delicious projects once we all return to school. Thank you.
PIZZA THURSDAYS AT SUMMER SCHOOL
Jason, one of the SACS chefs, loves making pizza for the kids. He makes the dough from scratch, does a short pre-bake of the bread - followed by the addition of tomato sauce, cheese and sometimes pepperoni. Kid prefer to eat vegetables separately, so toppings are basic. Here are a few pictures of the pizzas being assembled on Thursday 8-3-2017.
PICTURES OF HOW KIDS RESPONDED TO THE PIZZA WILL FOLLOW ON MONDAY
