BICYCLE GUIDELINES

  • Helmets can save your life. Please wear them
  • Students can ride on the sidewalks everywhere but on city center Main Street or the busy parts of Lake Street.
  • Crosswalks are for walking, not bike riding.
  • If you ride in the streets, you have to follow the same laws that car drivers have to abide by. Riding against the traffic on a road is unsafe and confusing to drivers.
EVERYONE IS WEARING A HELMET IN THIS PICTURE. Thank you!

Various 4-6th Grade Teams participated in Mrs. Jarvis and Mr. Branon's PE fitness assessments (Friday 9-15-2017).  Some did the crunch testing and others the pacer tests.

ADVENTURERS
The younger students at St. Albans City School have access to a wonderful creative resource, a set of giant foam building blocks. The large set allows students to build whatever they can imagine with them.  Mr. Lewis' class is shown enjoying PE with Ms. Andrews on Friday 9-15-2017.

DREAMERS
Mrs. William's students picked vegetables on Friday with Mrs. Smith, our Farm to School Coordinator, so that this week they can make "Stone Soup".  Stone Soup is a yearly reading and hands-on project that engaged children with its real-life learning experiences. Notes: the garden vegetables these children are shown picking were planted by last year's kindergarteners. Also, other Dreamers' classroom groups were involved in the harvesting and will be engaged in the Stone Soup project.
