GRADES 4-6  ECONOMICS UNIT ASSEMBLY
Four representatives from the region came to talk to students about the environmental impact of their businesses and work in the St. Albans area: Tim Smith from the Industrial Park, Eric Ciemniewski from Teknor Apex, John Leddy from the Northwest Solid Waste District and Celia Riechel from the Department of Environmental Conservation. Leaders from the 7/8th grade communities and 4th through 6th-grade students asked the representatives a variety of environmental impact questions. The panel supplied detailed answers that helped students understand the many factors businesses have to consider and understand.
