BAND

After school violin lessons are not happening today.

Beginning cello lessons are on for tomorrow and will include both the Wednesday and Thursday students.

Students working on music solo's for Mr. Mehaffey will be performing on Thursday afternoon at 5:30 in the band room.

Band lessons are for group B this week, and include Issac Muir, Jeremiah Wood, Drake and Issac, Paul, Kaitlin and Bella and Kaylie Richardson at 12:30.

If any of todays beginning violins can come to the cello lesson on Wednesday, that would be fine with Mr. Mehaffey.

8TH GRADERS

By Wednesday the 21st we would like for three things to be handed in to the Yearbook Committee.

1. We would like baby pictures emailed to Mr. Craib, Yuki, or Pilot. If not emailed please bring them to Mr. Craib and we will digitize the photos.

2. Superlatives will be handed out on paper and those need to be turned into Renee or Aylah.

3. Lastly we need your yearbook surveys submitted.

Does art inspire you? Clouds that look like faces? Sugar? Discovering new galaxies? Artists have looked to the world around them for centuries to gain inspiration. This year’s 10th anniversary of Doodle 4 Google asks students to do the same. The winner’s artwork will be made into an interactive doodle on Google.com as well as loads of scholarships and prizes.

Use your imagination to create a Google Doodle based on what inspires you.

PICTURES AND REPORTS

HEALTHY HEARTS FAIR
Healthy Hearts is an event hosted by the Northwestern Medical Center that takes place yearly at St. Albans City School. The goal is to promote exercise, healthy dietary choices, and preventitive health screening. Healthy Hearts is fun for entire families to attend as there is always plenty of entertainment for kids and families, tastey food to try out, and many informational booths to scope out.  If you missed the opportunity to attend this year, think about putting on next year's February calendar.

Here is a LINK TO 76 PICTURES of the event.

WALL ART AND WALL DISPLAYS
All around our school there are interesting displays of student art and school work. In addition there are door and wall displays created by staff. We have some amazing talent at our school.  This is just a tiny sample of what is available for viewing.
