SNACKS
Most sources say that the clementine came to exist because of accidental
hybridization, with the first fruits discovered by Brother Clement Rodier, after whom the fruit was named in French and then English, in the garden of his orphanage in Misserghin, Algeria.
Clementines were introduced into Californian commercial agriculture in 1914.
Clementines lost their desirable seedless characteristic when they’re
cross-pollinated with other fruit. To prevent this, in 2006 growers such as Paramount Citrus in California threatened to sue local beekeepers to keep bees away from their crops. | ||||

PICTURES AND REPORTS
At 10:00 AM March 15th, St. Albans City School 7th and 8th graders honored the students and staff who lost their lives at Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida. The event was held inside and was delayed a day due to a large snowfall and snow day on Wednesday. At the gathering, students made it clear that if anyone sees something that could threaten lives they need to say something (see something - say something). The gathering was also an opportunity to read out all the names of those who passed in the Florida shooting. Shortly after lunch students assembled in the Large Gym to create a large heart shape to be photographed. This picture symbolizes our student's empathy for those affected by shootings at Stoneman Douglas and schools across the country. LINK TO 20 PICTURES NAVIGATORS
Ms Lawyer and Mrs Adam's classes teamed together to create leprechaun traps. They collaborated and gathered materials to include a way to trap a leprechaun and get his pot of gold. The video is worth a look.
