PICTURES AND REPORTS

NEW MOTORIZED WHEELCHAIR FOR DREAMERS' PRE-K STUDENT
A student in Ms. Gleason's classroom requires physical support for every activity he completes in a day. His previous chair keeps his body and head in an upright and seated position. Mobility depends on his family members, his physical therapists, and his teachers. To improve his life, high school students from Champlain Valley Union High School's (CVU) adapted a power car called a WildThing for this student to use. The chair provides the student with his first form of independent mobility and everyone on his team is excited about it.

On Tuesday morning one of the CVU students and an instructor arrived at SACS to give the chair to our student and to be sure it fit him properly. It did. Here are pictures of the student's first experience using the chair.  LINK TO A DOZEN PICTURES

RISEVT GOLD SCORE CLASSROOMS

All of Voyagers and Mrs. Walsh's students in Dreamers achieved a gold score for their nutrition and exercise learning experiences. Ms. Frost from RiseVT St. Albans City School visited with two smoothie bikes and free shirts to reward their initiatives. Congratulations to both teams.  LINK TO 27 PICTURES
