IMPORTANT DATES AUGUST Teachers: In-service Wed 22nd-Friday 24th. Teachers & Staff: Convocation Friday, August 24th. 1st-8th Grade: First Day of School. This is a HALF DAY.  Wednesday, August 29th. 7:25 AM to 10:55 AM. Includes a Resource Fair for Families 7:15 AM to 8:45 AM. Pre-K Cottage (Part Time Sessions) Orientation Schedule: Monday, September 6th. 12:00 - 1:00 PM Morning Session Orientation (Meet at the cottage) 1:30 - 2:30 PM Afternoon Session Orientation (Meet at the cottage) The first "official" day for these groups of kids will be Monday, Sept.13. EVENTS AND NOTICES ATTENTION ALL FALL ATHLETES! Bring ALL sign-up sheets and bus requests that are handed out on Wednesday, August 29th, 2018 at school. THERE IS NO BUSSING ON FRIDAY. All soccer practices will begin on Thursday, August 30th, 2018 5/6 girls: 4:30-6:00 pm 7/8 girls: 4:30-6:00 pm 7/8 boys: 3:00-4:30 pm 5th/6th boys soccer and cross-country practice will begin on Friday, August 31st, 2018

REPORTS AND PICTURES TEACHERS & STAFF ARE PLANNING FOR THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR St. Albans City School staff gathered together on Wednesday to start a three-day team approach to the new school year. The staff met as a group to be updated on changes and expectations for the school year and they met in smaller clusters to plan content for students in their learning communities. There was also time to share meals and happenings with each other before the hectic pace of life once students arrive. CONVOCATION PRACTICE Students from BFA, SATEC, SACS and Fairfield continued to practice for their convocation presentation on Friday. It is a very talented group.
