    PICTURES AND REPORTS

    TRIUMPH FIELD TRIP
Triumph walked over to Hard'ack on Monday 9-24-2018 for a field trip and a team building experience.  Hard'ack and Aldis Hill make up a wonderful recreation site for the St. Albans community. There are athletic fields for soccer and lacrosse players, high quality cross country running and skiing trails, miles of single track hiking/biking trails and a ski and sledding hill for winter fun.  On Monday the Triumph students hiked a few of the trails and used the athletic fields for various tag games. After a picnic lunch, the students returned to school by foot. The weather was spectacular for the whole experience.

    USA PRESENTED COMPUTERS TO SACS
Team USA students (Bella, Ethan, Johnny, Isaac, and Alexis) present Ms. Borst and Ms. Bertucci with 25 Samsung Chromebooks to be used at City School.  The students are part of a team that were state winners of the Samsung For Tomorrow contest last spring. The contest is designed to boost interest and proficiency in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).  This nationwide contest challenges public school teachers and students in grades 6-12 to show how STEM can be applied to help improve their local community. The students researched and designed an app that would help people find and review local family-friendly attractions and businesses.

INTEGRATED FIELD REVIEW (IFR) TRAINING WORKSHOP
Roughly 55 administrators and educators from the northern region of Vermont assembled in the St. Albans City School library for specialized assessment training. Some of those present will fan out and visit schools all around our region to observe the best education practices being used. The purpose of these visits is to gather that useful information and share it with each other's supervisory unions. Thanks to all the students and staff who managed to keep the school quiet enough to hold the training session on Tuesday 9-25-2018.

    USA MORNING MEETING 9-25-2018
Mr. Kittell lead the team through a humorous chant that reminded students of where they came from and why they are a part of Team USA. There were plenty of smiles to be observed among students and teachers. It is a good team-building tool.
