    PICTURES AND REPORTS

    DISCOVERY PACER TEST PRACTICE
Several times each year our students are tested for physical fitness. One of the assessments is called the Pacer Test and it measures cardiovascular fitness and aerobic capacity. Those that can run many laps of the test are considered to have a lot of endurance and to be cardiovascularly fit.  Today's "assessment" was merely a practice session to learn how to run and correctly mark the test. The students seemed to be having fun even though the concept of pacing themselves to last as long as possible in this hard test had yet to sink in. The tendency was to sprint from the beginning when it is better to start slowly and gradually speed up over the course of the test.  LINK TO 13 PICTURES

    DISCOVERY 6TH GRADE ART
Ms. Mayer had her Discovery students working on posters of various kinds when pictures were taken. Some worked on Peace Posters for the annual contest that our students enter each year. It was a focused group doing some admirable work. 9-25-2018.  LINK TO 19 PICTURES

    INCREDIBLES FOUR-SQUARE
Mr. Clark joined in a game of four square with some of his students on Wednesday 9-26-2018. The threat of rain did not keep the Incredibles team inside. Everyone benefitted from the fresh air.
