    PICTURES AND REPORTS

    BFA FRESHMAN COMMUNITY SERVICE
Each year in September a group of 25 first-year students and 2-4 staff from BFA come to St. Albans City School to work in our gardens. Many are former St. Albans City School students. Their purpose is to provide a 2-hour source of donated labor in service to the greater St. Albans community. This year's group broke into five clusters. Two groups worked in the market garden area harvesting potatoes and tomatoes. Another group worked in the outdoor classroom space weeding the pavers surrounding the raised beds. Some students tackled the butterfly garden also removing weeds around the brick paving. The fifth group worked on weeding the pollinator garden that separates the parking area from the school entrance. The service provided by BFA is greatly appreciated.  LINK TO 27 PICTURES

HARVEST FROM OUR MARKET GARDEN 9-27-2018
60 lbs of potatoes and 35 lbs of tomatoes picked by visiting BFA students. See information above.
