Mindful Practice: I spy - Today we are going to practice looking closely at the world around us. Pick an object and get others to guess what it is by describing it’s color, shape, texture and size.
Band
Jr. Band is rehearsing today at 12:15.
Friday is cello day for older orchestra members.
7th grade violins are having lesson at 1 today, and Margot at 1:30.
Open Doors would also like to thank Claire Draper for teaching the SPARK class and Eric Boren for his commitment to this class along with other classes during the week. In the SPARK class the students challenged themselves each week in various fitness areas using a variety of fitness tools and even balloons! Hunter H.was a volunteer for this class and did a great job taking initiative. He took his role seriously and we all benefitted from his leadership! Hunter has signed up to be a volunteer for our second session.
Thank you to Jamie Ayers for making reading fun using Reader’s Theater. Serenity Love consistently attended the class fulfilling her role as a volunteer! She even volunteered for the VerMONEY class on Tuesday!

The students also created pictures for the Kindness Center. They are commended for their teamwork and collaboration to get the job done! Walk to School Day Results
76 students and 17 adults walked to school on Wednesday February 4th. Although still brisk, the weather cooperated with slightly warmer temperatures. Consequently, everyone was able to walk to school safely. Way to go hardy exercisers! Winter themed stickers and nice new wrist bands were handed out to all participating students.
Our next walk to school day is the first Wednesday after break. Put the date on your schedule if you are interested in joining us.
