PICTURES AND REPORTS
INVESTIGATORS ART Ms. Martinson's students started creating artwork with Elmer's glue and black paper on Friday 10-12-2018. LINK TO 13 PICTURES VOYAGERS WETLANDS WALK The Voyagers donned big rubber boots before trekking out to the wetland area to see how it was doing. They found that someone had dragged dead tree branches to an area where the beginnings of a fort were evident. The Voyagers prefer to use these branches to edge the walking paths through the wetland area where they serve as food and homes for wetland critters and fungi. They hope that there will be no more fort building in this nature preserve. Thank you. The Voyagers found a lot of grass and other plant growth, some of which is encroaching on the previously built pathways. There is hope to add wood chips to the pathways to make them more walkable and to inhibit growth over the pathways in the near future. It was a vocal and loud group of 4th and 6th graders that took the tour. LINK TO 18 PICTURES DREAMERS COTTAGE SIGN The Hands on Practical Education (HOPE) program made a sign for the PreK Dreamers cottage. Check it out. BUS NUMBERS Buses don't always park in the same location each afternoon. To help students find their bus teachers stand next to a bus with a sign indicating the bus number. When it rains, teachers now have umbrellas with their bus numbers heat-pressed onto them. We want student to get on the right bus in a timely manner. RECESS PICTURES These were taken on Friday October 12th when the weather cleared up. LINK TO 13 PICTURES |
