EVENTS AND NOTICES
8TH GRADE ARTWORK NEEDED
FOR THE YEARBOOK
For this year’s yearbook, the committee; Samuel Bapp, Aidan Lund, Daniel Hill, Alexandra Swan, Isabella Swan, and Lexi Smith need submissions for the front and back cover of the book. We will want several entries and have a lot of options to choose from. We should note that we want only 8th graders to submit their ideas to the yearbook committee. There are a couple of requirements when coming up with your idea on the front; Original content (NO PLAGIARISM), needs to say Class of 2019, it has to say St. Albans City School. Please put your name on the back of the artwork and give it to one of the yearbook committee members listed above. The due date for the artwork is November 12th. The back cover can be anything you want, but of course, has to be appropriate for school and should correspond to the front cover in some way.

PICTURES AND REPORTS
WALKING WEDNESDAY RESULTS One hundred and twenty-eight students and adults walked or biked into school on Wednesday. Temperatures were in the 30s with little wind and clear skies. It was still dark out when most of the walking buses started their journey to St. Albans City School. All age groups were well represented although, as usual, the 7th/8th graders turned out in the greatest numbers. Team USA had the best team turnout with 16 walkers/bikers. Travelers and kindergarteners also deserve mention for their numbers. Impressive.

USA MENTORS In team USA, some of the students have an amazing opportunity to mentor some of the younger grades. Photographs were taken by USA student intern Gabe of the mentors in the cafeteria and in Kaleidoscope. The goal of mentoring is to assist teachers and students and get a sense of what it feels like to work on other people's behalf. LINK TO 8 PICTURES
