LIKELY RECESS WEATHER
Our wet week continues. It looks like we might be lucky with a break around recess time.

Also, thank you to the person/people who put the balls back in the recess shed on Thursday at the end of the day. It was really nice not to have to go around in the rain retrieving them. Mr. Craib

    8TH GRADE ARTWORK NEEDED
    FOR THE YEARBOOK

For this year’s yearbook, the committee; Samuel Bapp, Aidan Lund, Daniel Hill, Alexandra Swan, Isabella Swan, and Lexi Smith need submissions for the front and back cover of the book. We will want several entries and have a lot of options to choose from. We should note that we want only 8th graders to submit their ideas to the yearbook committee. There are a couple of requirements when coming up with your idea on the front; Original content (NO PLAGIARISM), needs to say Class of 2019, it has to say St. Albans City School. Please put your name on the back of the artwork and give it to one of the yearbook committee members listed above. The due date for the artwork is November 12th. The back cover can be anything you want, but of course, has to be appropriate for school and should correspond to the front cover in some way.

    PICTURES AND REPORTS

    IMAGINATION 3RD GRADE
Students in Ms. Patnode's classroom (Sturgis' room) were given a STEM challenge. Small groups were provided with 30 toothpicks and 15 candy corns/pumpkin candies and told to build the tallest structure possible. One group achieved a height of over 20 centimeters. It was not an easy challenge as the candies kept crumbling.  LINK TO 8 PICTURES . Thank you Ms. Patnode.

    INVESTIGATORS GRADE 1
It is very hard to get decent pictures of movement in the little gym when the black lights are on. Even though the pictures turned out blurry you can still get an idea of how the gym looks and how fun it is to play in it in these lighting conditions.  Thank you for the pictures Ms. E. Mitchell.

    RENAISSANCE STUDENTS IN THEIR CLASSROOMS
Many of the Renaissance students were photographed in their classrooms over two days. Math, language arts, science...  LINK TO 59 PICTURES.

CROSS COUNTRY END OF SEASON PICTURES
This year's runners gathered for a couple of team pictures and a small amount of ice-cream on Wednesday 10-31-2018. Pictures from the season were shown during the gathering to bring back good memories. The cross-country team will be looking for more runners to join them next season - the more the better, regardless of talent. If you like running, then please consider signing up next Fall.
