Along with that award, our school was given the opportunity to lead a worldwide webinar for educators and students. This will take place next week on December 12. If your class would like to watch and participate in the webinar live, you can do so by registering through edWeb.net. The 6 students presenting will be busy over the next week getting ready and practicing!

TRIUMPH MATH PROPORTIONALITY PROJECT
About every three years Ms. Dean brings out the Giant Drawing Project. Students are given a cutout of a very large hand. With this prop, they have to create a picture of a giant that is proportional to the human body. They use the paper hand, and their own hands and rulers, to figure out how tall and wide to draw the person. There is plenty of measurement, math, art, and fun in the project.  Here are a few pictures that document that process.
