Here is the week of Dec 10th practice/game schedules. Please read carefully:
SCHEDULE CHANGE: The 5/6 boys and girls basketball start times have changed for Saturday, Dec. 15th - please be advised.
FYI: There has been a game added to the 7th-grade boy's schedule on Weds, Dec. 19th HOME vs. Fairfield. Time, TBD. The 5/6 boys basketball WHITE team will no longer practice Weds, Dec. 19th. OPEN DOORS - 3:15 to 4:30.
Session two for Open Doors will begin the week of Dec. 3rd. The schedule will be as follows:
NOTE: The Drama production will be on Friday, December 14th at 6:00 pm. ATTENTION: The session three (Jan 14-Feb 22) brochures will go out Wednesday, December 3rd due to the holiday time off coming up. Please fill them out and return them at your earliest convenience. Bussing is available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday leaving at 4:30 pm except for on school off days. |

EVENTS AND NOTICES
DECEMBER 12th edWebinar
Last Spring, St. Albans City School won the SETDA, Student Voices award. In November, 6 students traveled to Washington DC to present about our school's transformative use of technology. Along with that award, our school was given the opportunity to lead a worldwide webinar for educators and students. This will take place next week on December 12. If your class would like to watch and participate in the webinar live, you can do so by registering through edWeb.net. The 6 students presenting will be busy over the next week getting ready and practicing!

STAGE TECH FOR BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
Drama is looking for stage tech students for the spring (5th-8th grade) production of Beauty and the Beast.
We will be looking for about 10 students that are seriously interested.
If you are interested in helping behind the scenes, come see Ms. Hartman.
THE KINDNESS KREW DECEMBER
COLORING CONTEST
Who: All students in Pre-K to 6th grade
When: Now thru Wednesday, December 19th. ALL entries must be complete by December 19th. The Kindness Krew will pick up the entries on the 19th.
What: All coloring pages were dropped off in each community last week. Please complete a coloring page designed by the Kindness Krew! Entries will be judged based on color choice, neatness, creativity, and the answers to the questions on the back (questions are REQUIRED for grades 4-6). A winner will be selected from each grade level. A prize will be given to each winner!
Where: All entries will be on display in the cafeteria.

The Rotary Club of St. Albans
Rotary Ski Bus Program!!
Are you ready for skiing and riding this winter? Or would you like to learn to ski or ride? Join the St. Albans Rotary Ski Bus! The bus runs for 10 Saturdays to Smugglers Notch starting the first Saturday in January. The bus picks up at 126 Grand Avenue in Swanton at 7AM and at St. Albans Town Education Center at 7:30AM. The bus leaves SATEC at 8:00am and returns to SATEC at approximately 4:45pm and Swanton approximately 5:30pm.
The program is for students age 10 through high school seniors.
Please note: There are 3 Holiday weekends when lessons will not be available.
The 3 dates are:January 12th, Feburary 16th and February 23rd.
Students must register online by Thursdays at noon before each Saturday: http://www.stalbansrotaryclub.com. Individual Saturdays are $25, a season pass is $200 paid in advance online. Snowboard and ski lessons and rentals are free! Scholarships are available! Talk to Rich Weisburgh in Explorers

NAVIGATORS - ST. MICHAELS COLLEGE Check out the second short college video -this time made by the Navigators. NAVIGATORS HOLIDAY CONCERT PRACTICE These pictures were taken a week ago but did not make it into the announcements because so much else was going on. Some of the pictures show the students using sign language to sing a song that Ms. Cameron/Muscente taught them. LINK TO 18 PICTURES RENAISSANCE & USA SPONSORED PROBABILITY FAIR Each year 7th and 8th graders sharpen up their math and statistical skills by holding a probability fair.
