LIKELY RECESS WEATHER

The sun and low wind speed will make outdoor recess a good choice today.

The bad news. No snow tubes today.  Rocks that have been tossed onto the sledding hill are sticking up through the ice and snow.  The surface is also not soft enough for safe sledding. We need to wait until the next big snow before we can return to snow tubing.

PICTURES AND REPORTS

COLLEGE WEEKS
Evidence suggests that schooling beyond high school, either in college or a trade school, boosts people's life-long opportunities and earning potential. St. Albans City School wants to be a part of widening students' vision of the possible and we feel like we can help do so by starting early and celebrating higher education, and some of the nearby schools that our faculty members have attended. Over the next two weeks, each learning community is going to introduce us to a specific college. From December 10th through the 21st and through the daily announcements, we will learn a little about each learning community's school and what it has to offer. On the last day of the college week event, December 21st, we will gather for a fun and competitive pep rally where colleges (learning communities) will have a chance to compete against each other in fun and quirky ways.

To get an idea of the diversity of post-high-school institutions our staff members have attended check out the college board outside of Ms. Trainer's office.

THE ADVENTURERS START THE TWO WEEK CELEBRATION BY INTRODUCING US TO ST. LAWRENCE UNIVERSITY

SACS OPERATION HAPPINESS IS OVER. THANK YOU, EVERYONE!
Friday was the biggest count day!. We collected 348 items, bringing our grand total to 1678! As a school we have now earned a popcorn party for everyone for December 21st. Thank you to everyone who helped with donations and supported those in need this holiday season. We look forward to celebrating with all of you in two weeks!
