Preston Randall, Director of Guidance, will be coming to City School to discuss the transition from 8th to 9th grade- talking a little bit about BFA, giving an overview of the paperwork that students and families are required to fill out (academic and elective course selection), and answering any questions. For students and families who are unable to attend- no fear! We will be handing out and going over paperwork in classes, as well. Everyone will get what they need.

SACS 4-6 Dance
Team Triumph is hosting a Winter Wonderland dance on February 15, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 pm.  The cost is $3.00. The dance is going to have a lot of activities like raffles for dressing up nice. We will be drawing names for awesome prizes.  If you give the DJ, 50 cents, you can give a shout out to a friend. There will be drinks, snacks and sweets for sale as well. Students will be expected to follow all dance expectations. Students will need to be dropped off at the gym doors entrance and picked up at the front entrance of the school. Please make sure that you are on time to pick up your child.

FAMILIES OF 4TH AND 8TH GRADERS
On Friday, February 22nd, 4th grade will take the NAEP assessment. The links below will take you to letters that explain the expectations for that measurement.

What is NAEP?
It is a Common Measure of Student Achievement

The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) is the only assessment that measures what U.S. students know and can do in various subjects across the nation,
states, and in some urban districts. Also known as The Nation’s Report Card, NAEP has provided important information about how students are performing academically since 1969.
