YOUTH PHILHARMONIA AT SACS
APRIL 9TH at 10:00 to 10:45 AM in the Large Gym

With the collaboration of Andrew Palumbo (SATEC band director), St Albans City School will get to host the Vermont Youth Philharmonia.  The orchestral ensemble is comprised of students from across the state who perform in schools around Vermont.  The concert will consist of classical songs as well as contemporary favorites that students may recognize.

This is a unique opportunity for our students to see their peers from all over Vermont performing a competitive repertoire of music.

Open House: Down-To-Earth Community Garden
(We’ll have cookies!)

PICTURES AND REPORTS

ADVENTURERS
Students in Ms. Bachand's and Mr. Lewis' classrooms dissected owl pellets. Owl pellets are the regurgitated fur, feathers and bones of the animals and birds that owls eat. The pellets are dry and odorless when they arrive wrapped in tin foil at St. Albans City School. The bones children pick out of the pellets, and bone identification sheets, are used to determine what the owls ate. It is an excellent investigative exercise. This is such a dynamic learning experience that it is offered to all kindergarten classrooms each school year.  LINK TO 35 PICTURES
