Dear St. Albans City School Family,
Monday our families that selected the Hybrid option should have received their notice of Blue or Green groupings. The notice also shared the teacher that is responsible for your child’s ‘pod’. The pods will all have 10 or fewer students.
Families that selected the MRUSD Virtual Academy will hear more details about this option next week. The virtual option is being designed across the three Prek-8 schools. If you asked for this option, we will be honoring your request and we have added you to that list.
Also, families that have elected to homeschool and have not heard from the Agency of Education, will remain registered in our school until we get the official notice. This could take a bit of time since they have had many requests. If at any time families want to switch into Hybrid or Virtual, they just need to call the school.
Our Outdoor Open House is open to all families, Hybrid or Virtual Academy, so that parents can see the steps we are taking and meet the teachers and staff. Again, Open Houses are on Sept. 2 and Sept. 3 from 5-7 pm by appointment. At the Open House we will have packets for families that will include all of the forms needed for the start of the year. This year it will include a Health Check form that, once signed, can allow us to just take the child’s temperature, and not have to ask the health questions every day. We have attached a copy of the form.
