Tonight we want to share information about a few family events prior to the start of school. These events will help all of us feel more comfortable with the new expectations and impacts of going back to school in a COVID 19 - safe way.
First, Tuesday September 1, 2020, at 7:00 we will offer another MRUSD Family Night with Joelle Van Lent.
We are all in this together! Supporting ourselves and our children
through uncertain times.
Dr. Joelle van Lent will join us to discuss how we can support ourselves and our children as we navigate the challenges of restarting school. Joelle will share key concepts that can guide our efforts and provide meaningful supports during this uncertain time.
To sign up for this event, please use this form. The event will be held over Zoom, and a link will be sent out that morning to all who request an invitation. If you did not get to see Joelle in June, this link will allow you to see the recording from the MRISD Family Night in June. We will record the September 1st event if you can’t be there.
On September 2nd and 3rd (Wednesday and Thursday) we will be offering an Outdoor Open House. You will be given the opportunity to arrange an appointment with your team for 15 minutes to meet the teachers and learn a little about the new school year. We will have forms for you to verify and answers to many of your questions. You will also have a chance to go through a Health Check so that you will know what to expect. Finally, September 4th (Friday) from 6:00-7:00 we want to offer a Family Zoom to answer any remaining questions you may have before we are back at school on September 8th (blue) and 10th (green). We will send you a link to sign up for this in a few weeks.

St. Albans City School is looking to hire an experienced Custodian for our second shift (4:00 pm to 12:30 am). This person will assist with the cleaning and maintenance of our school facility. Nightly duties include cleaning, sanitzing and disinfecting classrooms and shared spaces, removing compost, recycling and trash, seasonal work outside, and general maintenance work. EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT PERSONNEL (ESP) POSITIONS AVAILABLE
City School is looking to fill four Educational Support Personnel (ESP) positions. Qualified candidates must be collaborative team members and have a passion for children. Individuals will work with research-based intervention strategies and support differentiated classroom settings to meet the needs of our students. Behavior management skills and knowledge of Conscious Discipline is a plus. Ability to support students in feeling as if they belong and are held accountable. Associates Degree or equivalent.
