Dear St. Albans City School Family,
Tonight we want to share Hybrid placement information and what to buy (and not buy) for Back-to-School.
We have received a great deal of information from our families on their preference for Virtual Learning or Hybrid (Blue or Green). The input form closed August 11th. If parents did not provide input, the teachers are very familiar with your children, and they will place them using their knowledge, into a Hybrid group. This work will all happen August 20th when teachers return. You will not know the Blue or Green placement of your child until August 21st. We are waiting for teachers to return, because we know that they know all of the children and will be able to use your information to create the best placement for each child and family. If you did not share important information that you need us to have, you may email us with further information.
Bus information will not be available until September 1st. Once we have all students placed, we will go back and create bus routes.
The next item we want to share is our thoughts on what families will need to provide for Back to School. We will be providing the items needed for school for each student. You will not need to provide any materials other than masks if you would like. Materials will not be going between home and school so backpacks are not needed. We do encourage you to create a space at home for those 3 days when your child is learning at home. This would be the place to use those back to school materials like pencils, erasers, glue, etc. that you may have purchased already.
We hope this information is helpful in setting expectations. We will be back next week with more information each night.
We Are Raider Strong!
