KINDERGARTEN ADVENTURERS - FARRELL This green group went out for a tricycle riding session with Ms. Andrews. The weather was excellent for the occasion and the students were clearly having a blast as they worked up a sweat pedaling and scootering around. They followed that activity by learning about lockdown drills. Link to 9 Pictures SIDEWALK CHALKING These pictures don’t do justice to the abundance of chalking work going onto the sidewalks all around the exterior of the building. The sidewalks are especially busy places on good weather days. CHROMEBOOKS Various staff members worked together on Wednesday to assemble some of the many Chromebooks and bags heading out to students in the upcoming days. The goal is to create individual packages of properly working Chromebooks, their power cords, and the covers that will aid in their safe transport between school and home. |

CUSTODIAN POSITION AVAILABLE St. Albans City School is seeking to hire an experienced, self-directed individual to join our Second Shift Facility Team. This person must have a keen eye for detail, be mechanically inclined, able to maneuver up to 40 pounds, and possess knowledge in the following: Commercial Floorcare, Institutional Building Sanitation, and Disinfection, Composting, Recycling, Operation of Industrial Equipment, Commercial Lawn Care, Glass Care, Building Security, and minor Building Maintenance and Repairs. In addition, this position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, and flexibility to shift tasks easily. The preferred candidate will be responsible for leading a 3 to 4 person team, making sure the assignments are completed satisfactorily, and will report directly to the Facility Manager. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal/communication skills. Knowledge of OSHA Regulations a plus. Qualified candidates must be collaborative team members and have a passion for children. Individuals will work with research-based intervention strategies and support differentiated classroom settings to meet the needs of our students. Behavior management skills and knowledge of Conscious Discipline is a plus. Ability to support students in feeling as if they belong and are held accountable. Associates Degree or equivalent.
