PICTURES FAIRFIELD CROSS COUNTRY RUNNING COMPETITION Fairfield Center School put on a very tough race around some large farm fields near the Fairfield bog on route 36. One of the Branon family members offered to mow a pathway around nearly two miles (3000 meters) of their haying fields. The surface was lumpy and the hills were big. Even so, it was a beautiful site that allowed spectators to view much of the boys’ and girls’ races as they proceeded. It was a gorgeous evening event with perfect temperatures for running long and hard. Our runners gave it their best and finished well among all the athletes present. Race results at this Link According to finish position calculations, the Fairfield boys team won their race and the St. Albans City School girls team won their race. TRAMPOLINE TIME Here are two happy Kaleidoscope students burning off energy between various learning activities. KINDERGARTEN PUMPKINS Thursday was the first day of the school year where blue and green kindergarten students came to St. Albans City School on the same day. Group volumes were larger but still quite manageable. To provide an activity that might bond the clusters of groups together, the kindergarten community obtained a substantial number of small pumpkins to be used for instructional and artwork projects. Each combined group stepped outside their classrooms to select a pumpkin for use. For organizational purposes, teachers placed student’s names on the selected pumpkins. Two classroom groups were photographed for the announcements. DREAMERS - DUPONT NAVIGATORS - LAIDMAN |
