Tuesday, December 22nd. We will all be in clothes that make us feel comfortable (pajamas, sweats, plaid...) - and the School Logistics Team will be providing popcorn.

While we can’t all be together, Mr. Craib will be around to take pictures so we can all see each other in the announcements.

PICTURES

EXPLORERS DANCE CODING - HALVORSEN

There is an excellent engaging on-line coding program where students can work independently or together to create dances. Ms. Halvorsen collaborated with all her students as they selected the music, dance moves, and characters in their program. Over the course of an hour, they proceeded through ten levels of the program with everyone remaining interested in the process and results.  Link to 30 Pictures

EXPLORERS MATH - DEDIOS

After recess, the students in Ms. Dedios’ classroom completed a calming exercise and then proceeded to work on math skills. 12-21-2020.  Link to 36 Pictures

NAVIGATORS BEE-BOT & OZOBOT PICTURES - RANKIN

Ms. Laidman and Ms. Lawyers students were treated to some new Bee-bot and Ozobot experiences last week. The Bee-bots were decorated with paper hats or attachments for a parade. Bee-bots can be programmed to make a variety of movements and several Bee-bots can be programmed similarly to follow each other. The Ozobots are a new kind of robot for students to explore. These ones detect color and will follow lines of color. The bots will mimic the color they are passing over. The Navigators students drew colored lines on paper and then observed the Ozobots moving around on those lines. The bots can do a lot more than simply follow colored lines and the students will be exploring their capabilities in the coming months. Pictures provided by Ms. Asato-Ditch.
