NAVIGATORS - LAWYER

Ms. Sally Lawyer worked through a short math lesson with her kindergarten students on Tuesday, 1-19-2021.  Link to 28 pictures.






SNOWSHOEING - JARVIS

Discovery’s 5th graders joined Ms. Jarvis on Tuesday (1-19-2021) for a PE lesson on snowshoeing. They learned that it is cumbersome to figure out the boot binding system and that walking on snowshoes can be good exercise. Some of these photos were taken within the wetlands area.





NAVIGATORS PreK - EMMONS

Students rotated between writing letters or engaging in free play at their desks. Ms. Emmons and Ms. Degree taught and supervised the activities. 1-19-2021 Link to 17 pictures



OPEN DOORS SIGN-UP UPDATE


Acceptance emails will go out this week. All the programming is full with the exception of the Girls Who Code group.


This Open Doors session starts January 25th-February 19th, Monday and Thursday - 2:30-4:00 pm.


A Sign-up Link was opened for access on Monday, 1-11-2021. The link closes on Jan 22nd.


Girls Who Code (3rd-5th grade)- Instructor: Darcie Rankin, location: Library - Girls can join the sisterhood of supportive peers and use Computer Science to change the world! Girls will learn by reading excerpts from our

books Learn to Code and Change the World and The Friendship Code, practice new skills by completing fun and simple online coding tutorials, and build community through interactive activities with the rest of your Club.



8TH GRADER BABY PICTURES WANTED


The yearbook committee would like 8th graders to submit baby pictures for the yearbook. It is best if you submit digital copies of your pictures to Mr. Craib at mcraib@maplerun.org. If you need to bring in the original image for scanning, you can give it to your teacher who will pass it on to Mr. Craib. The picture will be scanned as soon as it is received and immediately returned safely to the student.
